My Story
Greetings friends! I am Dorota, the creator and owner of DorotaBotanicals. Pursuing my dream of creating and managing a business has been a life-changing endeavor. Much of my motivation for launching this business is imparted to several adversities I had to overcome at an incredibly young age. When I was only 15 years old, I was diagnosed with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy (LGMD), and my life was forever changed. LGMD is a rare, progressive genetic disorder that causes weakness and atrophy of the voluntary muscles. Despite the physical and emotional challenges this disorder has posed in my life, I have dedicated myself to always summoning my inner strength and pursuing my passions. LGMD has not stopped me from living my life to the fullest. I have promised myself to never give up and that happiness is always worth the journey and effort. Our challenges can sometimes bring us closer to the best parts of our lives:)
In 1988, my husband and I experienced a pivotal moment in our lives when we left our home in Poland to move to the United States. Leaving our home with our two young sons and only four suitcases, we were both anxious and excited about the future. My husband and I both embody an entrepreneurial spirit, and our willingness to adapt, learn, and grow in a new country has kept us motivated through various challenges along the way. I have learned many things in life, but certainly one of the most important is to not allow challenges to stop you from achieving your dreams. Living a healthy lifestyle has been a critical part of my life. I am passionate about researching and working to help other people live a more health-conscious life. The Global College of Natural Medicine bestowed upon me the titles of Holistic Health Practitioner and Nutritional Consultant in 2010, and Master Herbalist in 2011. These achievements helped guide me to the next chapter in my life. In 2012, I launched my business, DorotaBotanicals!
DorotaBotanicals has been born of my devotion to sharing products that are carefully selected and crafted with care. I aim to both impress customers with an unforgettable culinary experience and give them the opportunity to incorporate foods that offer amazing health benefits. From a wonderful selection of savory extra virgin olive oils and delicious vinaigrettes to rich and delicious coffee, I can ensure each product will be a delightful experience.

When I’m not busy taste-testing various products or researching new ideas for DorotaBotanicals, I can be found working on various other projects and hobbies. Currently, I also enjoy working as a wheelchair model! I am passionate about fashion, interior and exterior design. My family is my life's greatest priority. I have a loving and wonderful husband, Greg. Together, we have two incredible sons and three amazing grandchildren.
